About Digital Africa
The Digital Africa Discussion Forum is where we discuss all things technology, network, collaborate, innovate and repeat, with a focus on Africa. We emphasise the importance of problem-solving using technological solutions through the utilisation of talent on the continent.
Today we explore the digital divide, with a particular view of how the Covid19 pandemic exposes some of the limitations to accessing the internet, and tech-based services for a majority of Zimbabweans, a majority of whom are young people.
While we celebrate how technology continues to evolve the way we learn, we socialize, do business, and other benefits of the digital space, it would be unfair to ignore the reality that a number of young people are left behind, and that there is need for deliberate effort by stakeholders at different levels, to bridge the gaps created, to ensure that we move together towards a digital Zimbabwe that benefits us all.
